Since the menu for the upcoming book club is "open", I thought that we could try something different this time around. In the spirit of "hospitality" I thought it might be fun to bring along your favorite dish that you like to serve when "company's coming" (appetizer, side dish, main dish, dessert). Perhaps we could post the recipes to the blog, if desired. I know I'm always looking for new recipes for serving. A "prize" will be awarded to the winning dish :)
Though I know Karen Mains points out that "hospitality" isn't about the food we serve, or how we keep our home, it doesn't hurt to serve something yummy when we open our homes, does it?
Do we have to wait until after the meeting to post the recipe so that we don't spoil the surprise? I totally know what I'm going to make now... it's my make-double-batch-and-throw-it-in-the-freezer-just-in-case stand-by! Perfect side for lunch or an evening nibbly.
