Tales from Firozsha Baag by Rohinton Mistry

More short stories....

I read this recently and Kate's post reminded me about it - it's a very similar theme... A "baag" is an apartment block in India.  Mistry uses this connection point to tell the separate, but connected, stories of those who live in the apartments.  Each story seems richer than the others because major characters in one story become minor characters in the next... and if you've read Mistry before, you know that his stories are rich to begin with.

This is Rohinton Mistry's first book (about 4 years before Such a Long Journey) and sheds an intesting light on him as a writer and his writing process.

A great short-story read that has the feel of a novel...
