Looking for a pleasant summer beach read? Montefiore takes two lovely European vacation spots and writes overlapping and intersecting stories with a real eye for detail and atmosphere, as well as some lovable characters. The writing is a bit cliched at times and the story-line is predictable, but this would be a perfect lazy backyard read with exotic locals, a generous dose of romance and enough intrigue to keep you page-turning. This book includes discussion questions, an interview with the author and suggestions for fun things to do with your book club... I love this addition and look forward to seeing this more often as book clubs become more popular again.
