The Wind in the Willows

As I am reading this book, I can't help but draw the comparison to the last book we read and discussed... is anyone else thinking how proud Karen Mains would be of Mr. Rat for his genuine display of hospitality towards Mr. Mole? :) Towards the end of Karen Mains book, she describes her father's perspective of hospitality, that being your ability to make your guests feel at ease. Time and time again, as I read more of this book, I can't help but think that "Ratty" has got this one nailed down. :)

  1. I totally agree... would could have taken a menu or two straight off the pages of this book! I love how essential hospitality is in their woodland world - in many ways, a lost art in today's fast paced society.
