The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

I have been meaning to write a review on this book for a long time now! I loved it, the author does an amazing job portraying the circus that you feel you are right there!
The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white-striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Reves, and it is open only at nighttition is underway: a duel between two young magicians, Celia and Marco, who have been trained since childhood expressly for this purpose by their mercurial instructors. Unbeknownst to them both, this is a game in which only one can be left standing. Admist the high stakes, Celia and Marco soon tumble headfirst into love, setting off a domino effect of danderous consequences, and leaving the lives of everyone from the performers to the patrons hanging in the balance.
I have always wanted to go to a real circus! I own this book if someone would like to borrow it:)

  1. can I borrow this one in march when my reading pile has shrunk a bit? I'm curious to see how the circus experience compares to Water for Elephants...
