Hello ladies ... just saw this book featured in my "Cooking Light" magazine, and thought it might be great for our December recipe book....for consideration.
The reviewer writes:
"The slightly stiff name telegraphs a deep purpose: not merely to present interesting recipes, but to boost a cook's understanding of 12 families of vegetables, showing how they related and contrast in flavour and application. She has a botanist's love of plants as plants, and a playful, bold way with ingredients." She goes on the account her favourite recipes, and then sums it up like this: "And I loved to just read this book: exciting recipes matched with prose that is personal, concise, useful and inspiring."
That being said, I've not read it, but I am going to add it to my list!
Looks like a good one!!
